About Us

Cammylyds Designs started in 2019, but its origin stretches back a decade earlier in my native Jamaica. I have always had a passion for fashion and fabric. I enjoyed seeing and designing clothing. This early love for clothes was then twinned with the idea of personalizing products to reflect individuality. It was this individuality which led to the birth of Yaadie Educator for Jamaican teachers living overseas.

Our subsidiary brand of t-shirts and hoodies-Yaadie Educator apparel is meant to be cultural stamp of the ubiquitous Jamaican presence. The term yaadie emerges out of the migrant communities in the UK and the US describing in the native Jamaican patois a local or resident of Jamaica aka yaad. A yaddie was therefore from yaad (Jamaica).
